Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2 Update Launches with 7 Major Fixes


Google isn’t finished just yet—want more of Android 16? After releasing the stable version of Android 16 alongside Pixel and Android Feature Drops, Google has announced that Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2 is on the way (it went live while I was writing this) featuring several bug fixes and likely additional enhancements under the hood.

Release of Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2: The files and release notes have been published, with Google confirming that Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2 (build BP31.250523.006) is now available. Factory images are ready for those who wish to manually flash. I just checked for the over-the-air update but wasn’t able to access it yet; however, it should be available soon. Keep an eye out for it!

This update addresses seven issues, as detailed by Google, including fixes for the auto dark theme, crashing of the Now Playing feature, and frequent camera launch failures, among others.
