Apple Vision Pro Enhances Experience with visionOS 2.4 Featuring Apple Intelligence and New Spatial Experiences

Today, visionOS 2.4 launches, introducing an impressive suite of Apple Intelligence features, new content through the Spatial Gallery, and improvements to the Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone. This update enriches the spatial computing experience while prioritizing user privacy in AI.

Apple Intelligence Features on Apple Vision Pro

Users can enhance their communication with the newly introduced Writing Tools, which offer capabilities like rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing text across various applications including Mail and Notes. The Rewrite feature allows for tone adjustments—making text more professional, concise, or friendly. Proofread reviews grammar and structure with helpful suggestions, and Summarize provides recaps in multiple formats. Through Compose, users can generate tailored content using ChatGPT directly from the Writing Tools.

The Image Playground feature allows the creation of unique images using various themes, costumes, and settings. Users can incorporate their own descriptions or create images resembling friends or family members using photos from their library. This functionality is integrated within apps such as Messages and Freeform, with a dedicated app available on Apple Vision Pro.

Genmoji takes emoji creation to new heights, enabling users to generate custom emojis by simply inputting a description into the emoji keyboard, which can be included inline in messages or shared as stickers.

Smart Reply in Messages and Mail now provides quick response suggestions and highlights questions needing an answer. Photos users search can be easily identified using natural language prompts in the Photos app. Create a Memory Movie allows users to generate personalized movies based on descriptive input, curating photos and videos into a cohesive narrative without compromising privacy.

visionOS 2.4 brings additional features like Priority Messages in Mail, Mail Summaries, Image Wand in Notes, and enhancements to Notification Center. The initial rollout of Apple Intelligence features is tailored for users with their devices and Siri language set to U.S. English.

Privacy Protection with Apple Intelligence

To ensure user privacy, Apple Intelligence utilizes on-device processing whenever feasible. For requests requiring broader model access, the Private Cloud Compute feature maintains privacy by ensuring that user data is neither stored nor shared with Apple, strictly using it to perform the requested task.

Introducing Curated Spatial Content with Spatial Gallery

The Spatial Gallery app, now available for the Apple Vision Pro, showcases a selection of spatial photos, videos, and panoramas curated by Apple. Users can dive into immersive content across themes like art, culture, sports, and more, with regular updates.

Upon launch, content from renowned brands like Red Bull, Cirque du Soleil, and Porsche will be accessible, alongside behind-the-scenes looks at Apple Originals such as Severance and The Morning Show.

Apple Vision Pro App for iPhone

The Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone provides users a platform to discover new spatial experiences, queue apps for download, find tips, and access their Vision Pro information. The Discover page offers tailored recommendations, featuring popular apps and immersive experiences like Metallica, allowing fans an unprecedented look into the band.

The My Vision Pro page equips users with essential tips and information regarding their device, including the current version of visionOS.

New Enhancements for Guest User Functionality

With visionOS 2.4, users can initiate a Guest User session on Apple Vision Pro via their nearby iPhone or iPad. This feature lets users define accessible apps for their guests and enable View Mirroring using AirPlay.
