NVIDIA SHIELD TV receives Upgrade 9.2 with new features and bug fixes.



Hey, NVIDIA SHIELD TV and SHIELD TV Pro owners, there is a surprise update that has just been released with more than just bug fixes. NVIDIA mentions in this “Upgrade 9.2” that there are several enhancements as well as an update to the AURO-3D app, which is great news!

The update was announced by NVIDIA this morning and is already live for many users. If you want to get the update, simply go to your settings on the SHIELD TV and download it.

One of the new features is an update to AURO-3D that now supports playback of high-resolution immersive sound in AURO-3D over HDMI. In the “Enhancements” category, there is also support for the “Match audio content resolution” feature when using a USB DAC, the ability to clear an HDMI 1.4 flag, a new “Match Frame Rate (beta)” feature, and more.

For bug fixes, NVIDIA has addressed at least 23 issues ranging from GeForce NOW crashes to stuttering in Bose and Sony headsets, and choppy video playback. You can check out the full changelog below to see if any of your issues have been resolved.
