Details have been provided for Google’s pen accessory designed for tablets.

The latest news suggests that the rumored Pixel Tablet 2 has been cancelled, but let’s take a closer look at Google’s pen accessory. Earlier details of the pen device were released, but with the Pixel Tablet 2 cancellation, things have been quiet.

Android Authority has provided some insights into what the pen accessory could have offered. It comes in hazel and porcelain colors and includes features like handwriting-to-text conversion, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy tablets. For docking, Google was working on a case that would magnetically connect and charge the pen device.

The pen device also featured a clicker, similar to the S Pen, which would have been great for fidgeters. It would have also supported Google’s Find My Device feature.

While launching this accessory alongside the Pixel Tablet 2 would have made sense, it seems unlikely given the original Pixel Tablet’s lack of popularity. We hope Google is still working on a new tablet, one that is more premium and powerful to compete with iPads and Galaxy Tabs.

What are your thoughts on this potential accessory?
