Purchasing the Shield TV Pro? This Android TV streamer is improved and now available for $80 less for Cyber Monday.

The Shield TV Pro was first released in 2019 and remains one of the top streaming devices available today. Despite owning three of these devices and being satisfied with their performance, I wanted a device that supported the AV1 codec, leading me to the Mecool KM2 Plus Deluxe.

Featuring Android TV 11, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and powered by an Amlogic S905X4 processor, the KM2 Plus Deluxe offers a powerful streaming experience. With access to the Play Store, it allows you to set up all your preferred streaming services, including Netflix. Additionally, it includes Chromecast functionality and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for high-quality viewing experiences. Available at a discounted price of $119 during Cyber Monday, it is a cost-effective alternative to the Shield TV Pro.

✅Recommended for those seeking a powerful streaming device with the latest codecs and excellent Dolby Vision performance.

❌Not recommended if you prefer a different interface than Android TV or require AI-assisted image upscaling.

One initial drawback was the lack of Dolby Vision support, but this was addressed through a software update. The device performs well with HDR and Dolby Vision content on platforms like Netflix and YouTube. While it lacks the upscaling capabilities of the Shield TV Pro, it offers everything needed in an Android TV streaming device.

Featuring USB ports for external drive connectivity, the KM2 Plus Deluxe is a value-focused option for those looking for a high-quality streaming experience.
