The Shield TV Pro was first released in 2019 and remains one of the top streaming devices available today. Despite owning three of these devices and being satisfied with their performance, I wanted a device that supported the AV1 codec, leading me to the Mecool KM2 Plus Deluxe.

❌Not recommended if you prefer a different interface than Android TV or require AI-assisted image upscaling.
One initial drawback was the lack of Dolby Vision support, but this was addressed through a software update. The device performs well with HDR and Dolby Vision content on platforms like Netflix and YouTube. While it lacks the upscaling capabilities of the Shield TV Pro, it offers everything needed in an Android TV streaming device.
