Preview of Home Panel available for Chromecast With Google TV users starting now.

Google announced in September that the Google TV Streamer’s new Home Panel function would be rolling out to all Chromecast with Google TV devices. The rollout has been slow but it’s finally hitting devices. Available to those enrolled in the Public Preview program, users can access Home Panel on their TV. This feature brings select smart home controls directly to your TV, allowing you to control lights, thermostats, locks, and camera feeds. To check if you’re in the Public Preview program, open the Google Home app on your iOS or Android device, go to Settings, and look for the “Public Preview” option. Make sure Home Panel is enabled on your Google TV device. Due to its preview availability, it may not be immediately visible or may have loading issues. Google, hurry up – everyone wants this on their TV! (Source: 9to5Google)
