Apple supplier Hon Hai will reportedly switch iPhone 14 production lines over to the iPhone 14 Pro models due to strong demand.

Most suppliers should also receive order increase requests for the iPhone 14 Pro models in the next few weeks. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, this is a shipment increase of roughly 10% for these devices in calendar quarter four of 2022.

Reports about strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro models are coming from every angle. Analysis from investment bank Morgan Stanley shows the iPhone 14 cycle is more robust than expected, using data from lead times and preorders.

In the US, iPhone 14 Pro Max has the longest lead time of any model released in the last six years at similar times after debut, at 36.5 days.

Lead times for iPhone 14 Pro are the third longest of any model in the same timeframe at 29.5 days. Meanwhile, iPhone 14 lead times of six days indicate lower interest in this model.

New features in the iPhone 14 Pro models include a 48-megapixel camera sensor for the Wide lens, an always-on display, and a Dynamic Island that replaces the notch. They are seemingly enough to drive sales as consumers look to update their existing iPhones or buy one for the first time.
