Introducing Gemini App, making it easier than ever for everyone to control their smart home devices.

Last year, Google introduced the capability for selected users to control smart home devices through the Gemini app on Android. This feature is now officially being released to all supported users.

In addition to this, Google has introduced some new features, including the ability to control “non-sensitive” devices directly from your phone’s lock screen. Users can also use natural language to manage multiple commands simultaneously.

Some highlights of the new features include controlling non-sensitive smart home devices like lights from the lock screen, using natural language to issue complex commands and queries, adjusting volume and media playback on entertainment devices, and improved thermostat controls within the Gemini app. The app will also automatically open the Google Home app for supported actions, eliminating the need for navigating between the two apps.

These new features are currently rolling out to the Gemini app, so users can start exploring and enjoying them.
