Apple has revealed that its innovative Apple Intelligence will be integrated into the Apple Vision Pro in April. The upcoming visionOS 2.4 enhances spatial computing by introducing a suite of powerful features, such as Writing Tools, Image Playground, Genmoji, and the new Spatial Gallery app for iPhone.

With Apple Intelligence on Vision Pro, users will gain the ability to proofread, rewrite, and summarize text effortlessly using Writing Tools. They can also compose original content with the assistance of ChatGPT, express creativity visually through Image Playground, design personalized emojis with Genmoji, and explore a variety of other features. Initially, these capabilities will be available in beta on visionOS 2.4, supporting U.S. English, with additional features and languages expected to launch throughout the year.

visionOS 2.4 also brings new applications and functionalities aimed at enriching users’ experiences with spatial computing. Spatial Gallery, a dedicated app for Vision Pro, will showcase a curated selection of spatial photos, videos, and panoramas from artists, filmmakers, and photographers. Additionally, the Apple Vision Pro app will be available for iPhone users, providing new options for downloading apps and games from the App Store, accessing content from Apple TV and Spatial Gallery, and finding helpful tips for their Vision Pro devices. Enhancements to Guest User mode make it simpler for users to share their apps and experiences with family, friends, and colleagues through nearby iPhones or iPads.

“Apple Vision Pro empowers users to communicate, collaborate, and engage with entertainment in revolutionary ways,” said Mike Rockwell, Apple’s Vice President of the Vision Products Group. “We’re pushing the limits of spatial computing with visionOS 2.4, and with Apple Intelligence, we anticipate users will elevate their productivity and creativity through features like Writing Tools, Image Playground, and Genmoji. Apple Intelligence Features on Apple Vision Pro

Apple Intelligence will transform how users express themselves visually, streamline daily tasks, and enhance their productivity, all while upholding privacy standards. The initial set of features will debut in April within visionOS 2.4 for users with U.S. English set as their device and Siri language. Future updates will expand features and language support.

  • Writing Tools: Users can refine their writing by rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing text across multiple applications, such as Mail, Notes, and third-party apps. The Rewrite feature offers tone adjustments, while Proofread checks for grammar, word choice, and structure. Users can easily recap text using Summarize. Additionally, the Compose function allows users to request content generation via ChatGPT.

  • Image Playground: This tool enables users to create fun and unique images based on themes, costumes, accessories, and locations. Users can input text descriptions and can even generate images that resemble family members or friends using their photo library. This feature is integrated into apps like Messages and Freeform and is also available as a standalone app for Apple Vision Pro.

  • Genmoji: Users can create custom emojis simply by typing or speaking a description into the emoji keyboard. Genmoji can be added inline to messages, shared as stickers, or sent as Tapbacks.

  • Smart Reply: This feature in Messages and Mail suggests appropriate responses to questions, allowing users to reply to texts and emails with minimal effort.

  • Create a Memory Movie: In Photos, users can generate tailored movies by describing their desired themes. Apple Intelligence will select the best photos and videos, develop a storyline, and curate a cohesive movie with a soundtrack. All user media remains private and isn’t shared with Apple or any third parties.

  • Natural Language Search: Users can effortlessly locate specific photos, albums, or moments within videos by simply describing them.
