The latest update of Android 16 Beta 3 now includes a new feature called “Battery Health” section.

The latest Android 16 Beta 3 may not have any major features for immediate use, but it does introduce a new section in the Battery settings called “Battery Health” which provides insights into the condition of your battery. This feature was not initially available on all devices but has since appeared on some, such as the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

To access the Battery Health section, go to Settings > Battery. Here, you can check the status of your battery’s health. The image provided shows a Pixel 9 Pro with a “Normal” battery status, indicating good health for a device that is not even 6 months old.

In addition to displaying your battery’s health status, this new page also offers information on your battery capacity over time, links to battery health articles for tips on battery maintenance, and a shortcut to Adaptive Charging settings where you can optimize your charging habits.

As your device ages, the Battery Health section will become a useful tool for monitoring the health of your battery.
