The Scarlet Xperia 1 VI makes me wish it was available in the US.

Sony phones have always been aesthetically pleasing, but unfortunately, their track record for support in the US hasn’t been great. On top of that, they have been quite expensive. This year, Sony confirmed that they won’t be releasing new Xperia phones in the US market. While there hasn’t been much backlash about this, it’s disappointing because the new Scarlet color option is incredibly enticing.

I’ve been hoping for more phone color options that go beyond the standard white or black. Recently, Samsung has been leading the way with eye-catching colors like Titanium Violet on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Aura Glow on the Galaxy Note 10. Google also has some great color options, but I’ve been eagerly waiting for more unique choices like the original Pixel in blue or the Nexus 5 in red to make a return.

It’s refreshing to see Sony stepping out of their comfort zone with the Scarlet option, especially since they typically offer limited color choices.

Unfortunately, this phone won’t be available in the US, but I really wish it was. The price tag of 1,499 euros is definitely a hefty one.
